Inspiration Model shoot by patton360 Inspiration Model shoot by patton360
One of my projects in photography was to look up a model photo to use as inspiration in terms of the lighting and then try to match the lighting as much as possible. The inspirational photo I used was from a Maka Albarn (black dress) cosplay

The lighting set up was a soften light camera left and a spot light with blue gel filter shining on the background. In photoshop the handles on the lockers were removed so as to center the attention on the model. I also adjusted the "shadows&highlights" in order to bring out the figure of the model's dress. The original photo taken had her chest and abdomen obscured in shadow.

One of my classmates, having looked at my inspiration example, suggested for giggles to ask if the model available for my shoot could put her hair in pigtails but her hair was to short and did not have enough volume either.

Thats a good image. Good idea removing the locker handles. Changes the feel of the image.

Indeed. When working on an image and the instructor says he/she really likes it, you know you have a winner to turn in for maximum points.
